Today was the Christmas program at school. Matthew was great. The first time we saw him, he was leading the charge into the church. What a ham! He just loves music these days and he fills the back seat with Christmas melodies, albeit a bit reinterpreted. He especially likes to sing, "Up on the housetop reindeer, up on the housetop reindeer, click click click. Reindeer."
He danced during a lot of the program. Well, at least when he wasn't sitting down. He didn't sing a word until the very end when they all sang Jingle Bells. Of course, he started singing as soon as he was handed his bells, so he finished early. He was so sweet and oblivious and wonderful. I was proud of him for the calm, quiet boy he was during the chaos of the program that was scheduled for our usual nap time.

I've uploaded all the videos off the camera (only a total of five), so you should be able to see them soon in the sidebar, or on the list down below. Before the program, we went to a spaghetti lunch at the airport where Santa was supposed to arrive by helicopter, but since he was an hour late, we missed him. Isn't that just like Santa to not come until you've given up and gone off to bed?

William was a rock star today, as usual. He is such an easy baby in so many ways that Matthew wasn't. And yet, he's challenging us in ways that Matthew didn't. You'd never know it from his 19 pound, 5 month old body, but he only wants to eat when conditions are just so. But he doesn't make much fuss about hunger, so it's hard to complain. I'm happy to be starting solid food with him, soon, though. I'd much rather leave the eating up to him. Bring on finger foods!
