It all happened so long ago that I feel like it was a dream. In August - AUGUST - we went to California to visit Jeff's family and attend a wedding. It was gorgeous, the kids had a great time and looked super-cute in their gear. (But let me tell you, they are NOT kidding when they say it will be COLD on the California coast in late August. Freezing.)
